Online Standards-Based Video Training and Certified Credentialing

The Mitutoyo Institute of Metrology now provides free online standards-based calibration video training with the opportunity to earn certified credentials in dimensional calibration – a first of its kind in the U.S. The online training videos are available for free with no obligation for testing.

The Mitutoyo Institute of Metrology provides educational courses and on-demand resources across a variety of measurement related topics, including basic inspection techniques, principles of dimensional metrology, calibration methods and GD&T.

Metrology professionals can now access all calibration training videos through the Mitutoyo America website or Mitutoyo America YouTube Channel. The training material leverages the available American Metrology Standards with best calibration practices at Mitutoyo. The first online course, “General Calibration Concepts, Micrometers and Calipers” is available online for free.

Certified credentials are available in both theory and performance.

• Level 1 credentials: Theory, $75 ( Level 1 credentials test for theory can be taken online )
• Level 2 credentials: Performance, $250. Performance tests are available at several testing locations throughout the U.S. This test is also designed to meet proficiency tests (PT) for accredited labs.
