5-inch Heavy Duty Machine Vise
Hardened and moveable jaw plates combat lifting, which can occur during heavier metal removal applications, to help ensure tolerances of ±.0005". Other vise features include the nickel-plated lead screw for long life, needle bearing design that facilitates ease of use even at high clamping force, and a heavy-duty swivel handle to further ease the load for operators. Made in the U.S.A. of stress relieved ductile iron (80,000 psi) and flame hardened, the new vise provides very long usable life and predictable performance.
VariMill Chip Splitters
The metric VariMill Chip Splitters feature a design that actively controls chip size resulting in easier chip evacuation in deep cavities. The end mills include five- and seven-flute configurations from 8mm-20mm metric standard diameters. The five-flute tool maximizes performance in steel materials while the seven-flute tool excels in stainless steel and high-temperature alloys.

LNEX 12 Insert
The peripherally ground insert offers improved wall accuracy and straightness and creates a true 90° corner. The LNEX12 also featuring a patented U-groove segment on all four cutting edges which provide a good surface finish and expand its application range to low-power machines and small depths of cut. In addition, the two-sided design supports performance by making ramping possible.
MC3603 Motion Controller
The MC3603 which owing to its compact size is ideal for integration in equipment manufacturing and medical technology applications. With 36 V and 3 A (peak current 9 A), the new Motion Controller covers the medium power range up to approx. 100 W. It is suitable for "normal" DC-motors with encoder, brushless drives and linear motors. The I/O options and encoder interfaces are the same as the rest of the product family.
Flex B and Flex C Modular Coolant Filtration Systems
The Flex B and Flex C join Jorgensen's existing Flex G gravity filter version. Flex B provides the same flow rates as Flex G – 30, 60 and 90 gpm – and filtration down to 10 microns for most applications. As its main filtration method, bag filters make the Flex B a cost-effective method for coolant and cutting fluid filtration and ideal for CNC machine tool applications involving either single machines or centralized coolant systems.
United Grinding hosts summit featuring four new machines
United Grinding North America will host industry leaders and manufacturing professionals at the first-ever Precision Summit in Miamisburg, Ohio, on May 24-25. The event includes new machines, including three never shown in North America, and live demonstrations.
Micromolding places the focus on outcomes
For customers looking to embrace the possibilities that exist through the micromolding of parts or components, there is a given. They need to understand what micromolding can do in terms of stimulation of innovation, what it can deliver in terms of manufacturing efficiency and what — above all — it can do to achieve increased functionality in parts that are often required to be smaller and smaller.
