DX8 CrossOver Vise
DX8, DX6 and DX4 vises were designed using Finite Element Analysis—providing 30% less horizontal push-back deflection than previous DX models. Less vise-body deflection translates to more stability and a lifetime of dimensional precision—setting a new standard in precision flatness, parallelism and repeatability. The DX8 CrossOver® vise features the same bed height and keyway to the stationary jaw face as the D810. The DX8 also features a redesigned nut with less weight, a new brush seal design, and a larger stronger bearing pack for more durability.
6 considerations before automating: Safety, Standards & Compliance
Despite the benefits, CNC automation does not have a one-size-fits-all solution. Here's what to know before you automate.
Walter establishes solid carbide drill facility in the U.S.
Walter USA LLC has assumed governance of the round tool production unit in Greer, South Carolina, through an intra-company transfer within the Sandvik Group. Having a dedicated production facility in the U.S. will enable Walter to provide both better responsiveness to customer demand as well as improve supply chain security.
Blank Feeding System
For manufacturers who produce different components on the same line, and therefore need to regularly change grippers, this system is highly beneficial. One and the same programmable gripper solution is used to handle all blanks, regardless of shape and size. The transition is automatic and takes less than two minutes.
Surface Oil Belt Skimmers
The Oil Skimmer squeezes oil between rollers, a method of stripping the oil from the belt that does not require scraping. This skimmer is designed for use on large machine tools with tanks deeper than two feet. The Oil Skimmer Jr. is designed for machine tools with shallow tanks.
