CO 24 Q SG Depressed-Center Grinding Wheels
PFERD INC. says its latest depressed-center grinding wheels feature an advanced pure ceramic-oxide grain that delivers excellent stock-removal rates, long service life and cost-cutting performance. Ideally suited for working with steel and stainless steel, the new wheels, designated CO 24 Q SG, have a hardness grade Q and excel at a variety of applications, including weld grinding, chamfering, deburring and surface grinding.
Cline Tool expands sales team
Cline Tool, Newton, Iowa, recently added two new sales positions. Jeff Prothero has been named the regional manager and project engineer for Cline Tool's Southern Wisconsin/Northern Illinois branch. The company also appointed Brian Krebs as field application engineer at its Houston branch.

The jaws hold a specific range of part sizes and are usually used for first operation workholding.

ATI Industrial Automation has developed a new series of single-axis compliant deburring tools. The RS-151, RS-340 and RS-660-ER models provide radial, single-axis compliance, allowing the spindle and cutter to pivot in one plane about a single-axis to provide high stiffness parallel to (and excellent compliance perpendicular to) the direction of motion resulting in exceptional surface finishes.

Gilman Precision, Grafton, Wis., recently launched a web-based product configuration tool Intended to improve the process of viewing and adjusting product specifications. The Gilman 3D Linear Products CAD Configurator will serve engineers and other prospects by allowing them to select, view and insert Gilman 3D CAD models and 2D drawings directly into their own CAD systems, according to the company.
Jet Edge launches Choice Waterjet Parts Division
Jet Edge Inc., a manufacturer of ultra-high pressure waterjet technology based in St. Michael, Minn., in February launched an aftermarket waterjet parts division, Choice Waterjet Parts Inc. Choice Waterjet Parts supplies ultra-high pressure (UHP) waterjet components for major brands of waterjet cutting systems, including Flow, Omax, KMT, Bystronic and WSI. Genuine Jet Edge parts will continue to be supplied exclusively by Jet Edge, according to a recent company news release.
Gleason Corp. establishes engineering fellowships
