SCANLAB GmbH offers a new collimation module to reportedly close a market gap for reliable connection of fiber-coupled lasers. This industrial-strength fiber coupler helps transform scan heads into a system to be easily integrated in laser processing machines.

The Illinois Lock Co. RapidCam spring bolt cam adapter replaces the flat steel cam used on traditional cam locks with a glass-filled Nylon 66 latch. The spring-loaded latch features an angled design, so that when in locked position, closing action simply moves the latch down, avoiding damage, then immediately moves it back into locked position.

HEIDENHAIN’s popular TNC 640 mill-turn control is now available with an exciting new option, a 3D Probing cycle, called Cycle 444. Already equipped with both manual and automatic probing cycles for datum setting, workpiece alignment and inspection, the TNC 640 offers this additional 3D probing cycle to meet manufacturers’ increased requirements for automation and advanced probing routines that inspect free form surfaces where measurement positions are often difficult to capture.

Wiha Tools USA has introduced two new TorqueControl pistol ratchet sets. The 59-piece sets, #28584 and #28585, includes a new Cushion Grip pistol ratchet handle, “overtightening the screw is eliminated with Wiha reliable torque technology.”

The new JET metal dust collector stand is an ideal metalworking shop addition that captures abrasive dust, chips and other debris with a filter efficiency of 90 percent at 50 microns. Walter has introduced new parting blade adapters for BMT/DO machines that ensure precision cooling of both the insert and the parting blade, thus improving chip control and tool life, and helping to increase productivity. With the Walter design, the coolant flows through the adapter directly into and through the parting blade to the cutting zone.
