High-pressure delivery

Wanner Engineering Inc. and ChipBlaster Inc. provide some insight into the effectiveness of high-pressure coolant to prolong tool life and eliminate heat damage. Cutting Tool Engineering produced this report based on informational videos submitted by ChipBlaster and Wanner Engineering.

Bob Warfield from CNCCookbook discusses some toolpath tips to help you get the most from your CAM software in the sixth episode of The CNC Chef, a video series produced in collaboration with Cutting Tool Engineering.

Warfield added the following explanation in response to some who viewed this episode of The CNC Chef and commented that the labels on the deflection diagram suggest climb milling does not push the cutter into the cut while conventional milling does.

SECO partners with Ferris State University for engineering internship program

Seco Tools, LLC has partnered with Ferris State University (FSU) in Big Rapids, Michigan, to offer local area engineering students an opportunity to participate in a multi-year internship program at Seco. The program invites the top three engineering applicants to participate for an initial first year internship. Based on their interest and performance, the students may be asked back for a second year. Graduates of the program will often be offered employment by Seco.
