Milling

MD173 Supreme, MD177 Supreme

The MD173 Supreme is a roughing cutter designed specifically for dynamic milling and for reducing machining time. Its cutting edges equipped with chip breakers enable excellent chip breaking, permitting superior process reliability with high metal removal rates, a plus for users with automated production processes. The MD177 Supreme is a finishing cutter that creates very smooth surfaces without "waterlines."

Wireless Rotary Cutting Dynamometer (RCD)

The wireless RCD from Kistler has a 10 kHz sampling rate that allows to capture highly dynamic foot-prints of the measurement in applications with up to 16 000 RPM. Overall, piezoelectric sensors ensure more accurate measurements than other technologies, such as strain-gauge sensors, which have significant limitations especially when measuring small forces and high dynamic processes. Highly accurate measurements are not only important for research but also for production monitoring. The piezoelectric measurement technology can capture very small changes and deviations before they have a significant effect on product quality.

Combination Bench Lathe and Mill

The 11-inch bench engine lathe and gear head mill is able to handle a wide range of turning, milling and drilling operations typically found on much larger machinery. Constructed from heavy cast iron, its smooth power transmission with precision thrust and ball bearings in the head stock and spindles are designed to provide years of trouble-free operation.

Tiger·tec Gold PVD Grade

This grade is now capable of longer tool life, greater reliability, and approximately 30 percent greater performance in stainless steels (ISO M) and heat-resistant super alloys (ISO S), and up to 75 percent greater performance in steels (ISO P) than comparable grades. With the launch phase now complete, the PVD grade WSP45G Tiger·tec® Gold can be used universally in all standard Walter milling cutters.

droPWR

Bluetooth technology along with an IBT interface box in the droPWR system allows connection to multiple machine configurations in one tablet including for milling, turning, and grinding machines with up to six axes.  Designed to be simple and functional, this tablet DRO can be moved and used with various machines, making it perfect for many production environments such as small shops and students in shop class.

FixRMill

FixRMill uses round inserts for machining dies and molds, especially complex male-female main parts such as cavities and projections. The round inserts feature anti-rotation notches on the insert clearance side and matching locations on the pocket seats. These notches not only prevent the insert from rotating under heavy load but also help the operator to get a true, distinct index every time he/she goes for a new edge, allowing all of the insert to be utilized.

TC630 Supreme

With the TC630 Supreme, users can benefit from a range of advantages. A high level of process reliability for unstable machining operations, for example on lathes with driven tools or for long overhangs. Areas of application include medical engineering, precision engineering, the aerospace sector as well as electronics and general metalworking.

Micro5 5-axis machining center

The compact Micro5 machining center, to be demonstrated by Chiron Group at IMTS 2022, booth 134542 in the Germany stand, is ideal for machining the smallest medical instruments and delicate parts for microprecision industry. The innovative machine is said to guarantee maximum precision for small, microtechnical workpieces such as medical, watchmaking, jewelry and small electronics.
