FLORENCE, Ky. – Mazak has made strategic changes to its distribution network to target key markets.
Effective April 1, 2023, Pioneer Machine Sales will provide sales and service support for Mazak customers in Arkansas and Oklahoma, while long time Mazak distributor A.W. Miller Technical Sales, Inc. will expand its territory to serve customers in Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and the Southern half of New Jersey.
With the new and expanded partnerships, Mazak reinforces its strategic model of direct sales and distribution in North America. In doing so, the company partners with only the best distributors, reflecting its steadfast commitment to continuous improvement, ongoing excellence and dedication to customers.
According to company President Dan Janka, Mazak’s strategic approach matches the pace of Mazak innovation in terms of production requirements and increased customer demand. This approach also optimizes core competencies in various areas to ensure customers have access to the resources they need for success.
“With Pioneer and A.W. Miller in our network of distributors,” said Janka, “we further enhance our ability to provide meaningful support to customers in those regions and ensure they have local access to the technology and expertise necessary to maintain their competitive edge. Both distributors are committed to meeting customer objectives and demonstrate the level of leadership Mazak maintains itself and expects from its partners as well.”
A.W. Miller Technical Sales, Inc.
With locations in Western Pennsylvania, New York and Quebec, A.W. Miller has provided customers with the best in machine tool technology for nearly 50 years. With a complete staff of highly capable applications engineers, service and support personnel, the company has established a long history as an exclusive Mazak distributor in Pennsylvania and New York. The company’s territory expansion will increase Mazak customer access to solutions and support in a broad range of industries to improve innovation and efficiency.
“My father Al Miller who founded A.W. Miller started with the Mazak family 49 years ago,” said Bill Miller, President of A.W. Miller, “and this territory expansion continues to grow that relationship. In line with supporting those area customers, we’ve purchased a new facility in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, that will allow us to provide regular programming classes in the Philadelphia area, and we are expanding our service footprint with additional service technicians. While we are a company headquartered out of East Aurora, New York, we will have firm roots in these new areas going forward to provide the A. W. Miller sales and service support that all our customers have grown accustomed to over the past 53 years.”
In addition to new service technicians, several former Mazak personnel will also join A.W. Miller. Former Northeast Territory Direct Sales Manager Bill Talley will join A.W. Miller to provide continuity in the transition. Jeremy Trout will assume the role of District Sales Manager, and Nate Howell will become Sales Manager.
Customers in the Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Southern New Jersey markets can also take advantage of Mazak’s Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. That facility works closely with manufacturers from all industry segments, with a special focus on the medical and jet engine/aerospace sector to generate innovation for increased productivity and efficiency.
