Methods Machine Tools Inc., A supplier of machine tools and automation solutions, has hired Jon Casten as Vice President of Aftermarket. Casten, who has more than 25 years of experience leading post-sales strategy and commercialization, will lead Methods’ comprehensive aftermarket strategy across technical service, parts, warranty, and customer support including the national and field-based support teams, and national parts distribution.

Methods Machine Tools, the foremost supplier of high-precision CNC machining centers, automation, and engineering services in North America will cut the ribbon on its new National Center of Excellence at their Chicago Regional Technical Center during an open house event on Thursday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

With a focus on motorsports part production, Mazak is hosting its Discover More with Mazak Open House at the company’s Dallas Technical Center from March 11-12 in Dallas. As a solid “first step” into 5-axis machining for some shops, Mazak’s VARIAXIS C-600 offers four spindle options that allow shops to find the ideal balance of speed and power. In addition to the standard 12,000 rpm CAT40 spindle, 15,000 rpm, 18,000 rpm and 20,000 rpm options are available in CAT 40, Big Plus or HSK A-63 types.

Mazak Corporation has set its sights on the latest manufacturing and automation technology specifically for aerospace, medical, space exploration, defense/marine defense and other area industry component production at its two-day Florida Open House scheduled for February 18-19 at 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The xsTECH Pro CNC desktop router from Tormach, which was designed for education and training environments, combines professional-level machining capabilities and features with a safe, approachable design that fits seamlessly into classrooms, STEM labs and makerspaces, the company says.

The UMILL 1000 from EMCO is a 5-axis machining center with milling/turning, 1000mm diameter, 600mm height, 1000kg capacity, and direct drives for high precision. With the UMILL 1000, EMCO is expanding its range of universal machining centers in the 5-axis simultaneous machining sector, thereby creating a bridge between the UMILL 750 and UMILL 1500 models.

At Mazak's Discover 2025 event, the company will unveil its Integrex i-350S NEO multi-tasking machine that the company says can provide increased thermal stability and combines high-performance turning, milling and — for the first time — grinding operations along with advanced automation features.
