Sandvik has acquired 80% of the Canada-based K&Y Diamond, a leading manufacturer of monocrystalline diamond tools for ultra-precision applications, with a strong position in the optics segment. K&Y Diamond will be operated under Sandvik Coromant, a division within the Machining business segment. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

ModuleWorks announces that ISCAR, a leading manufacturer of precision metal cutting tools and the largest company in the IMC Group, is adopting the Manufacturing Data Exchange Specification (MDES). Through this adoption, ISCAR plans to make its tooling data available in the open MDES format, enabling CAM software and CNC systems to integrate ISCAR tools and assemblies more efficiently.

Ingersoll Cutting Tools expanded its MaxSFeed milling line to boost versatility, performance, and tool life across various machining applications. The expansion introduces 45º cutters, extended-flute cutters, and small slotters featuring a dovetailed insert pocket design for improved stability and MultiSurfer shank interfaces for secure mounting.
