CIRO Products Ltd. introduces the Elaso ebm100 dynamic grinding wheel balancing system. The ebm100 balancing processor balances grinding wheels by guiding the machine operator to place the balancing weights located in the wheel flange to the exact locations.
Machine data is taken at spindle speed, allowing an accurate calculation for the placement of weights. A "perfectly" balanced wheel will increase the grinding quality and minimize spindle bearing loads.
The target was to create a system that is simple to use, portable, suitable for quick placement on all kinds of grinders, and has a 115/230-volt wall wart putting our 24VDC for safety, changeable language operation instructions and all parts protected in a plastic carrying case.
Related Glossary Terms
- grinding
grinding
Machining operation in which material is removed from the workpiece by a powered abrasive wheel, stone, belt, paste, sheet, compound, slurry, etc. Takes various forms: surface grinding (creates flat and/or squared surfaces); cylindrical grinding (for external cylindrical and tapered shapes, fillets, undercuts, etc.); centerless grinding; chamfering; thread and form grinding; tool and cutter grinding; offhand grinding; lapping and polishing (grinding with extremely fine grits to create ultrasmooth surfaces); honing; and disc grinding.
- grinding wheel
grinding wheel
Wheel formed from abrasive material mixed in a suitable matrix. Takes a variety of shapes but falls into two basic categories: one that cuts on its periphery, as in reciprocating grinding, and one that cuts on its side or face, as in tool and cutter grinding.
- wheel flange
wheel flange
Metal plate inside the grinding-wheel hole that allows the wheel to be mounted on a spindle.
