IPC 6641 Industrial PC

February 01, 2014

HEIDENHAIN offers the IPC 6641, a new industrial PC for machine tools. Common applications for this industrial PC include individual automation solutions, operation of Windows software from an OEM and remote access to HEIDENHAIN iTNC 530 contouring controls.

Boasting Intel Celeron and Core i7-3 processors on a proven HSCI hardware platform, this new IPC 6641 industrial PC provides increased computing power and a significantly improved graphic performance while consuming less power than past models. The new processors are built within Ivy Bridge architecture, and structural width has been reduced to 22 nm.

The IPC 6641 is a solution as an additional, remote station for operating the machine tool or machine units such as a tool-changing station. The remote operation, which was designed for HEIDENHAIN's TNC controls, permits very simple connection of the IPC via an Ethernet connection with cable lengths of up to 100 meters.

Starting and remotely operating Windows-based applications is simple on the IPC 6641 industrial PC via a HEIDENHAIN's TNC user interface. Since Windows runs on the industrial PC, it does not influence the NC machining process. A second display is not necessary since the Windows applications are displayed on the TNC's screen via remote access.

The operating systems Windows 7 or 8 can be installed on the Hard Disk which is ordered separately.

Additionally, the IPC 6641 comes with:

4 x USB 3.0

2 x Ethernet 1 Gbps

RS 232-C Connection for 24V power supply

VGA interface
