RV36 Robotic Gripper
Loaded with features, the compact Kurt RV36 Gripper comes standard with integrated electronics featuring sensors that ensure fingers and parts are in place and ready for production. High-strength aluminum alloy keeps gripper weight to a minimum while a hard-coat finish reduces wear and increases life in the field. Smaller gripper size allows easier storage where space is a premium.n
Insights into CNC programming and machine optimization
Contract programming houses are an excellent resource for shops with overloaded programming departments, a troublesome project, or are venturing into five-axis territory for the first time. Ron Branch, vice-president of 5th Axis CG Inc. shared valuable insights about machining optimization with Gene Granata, Vericut product manager at CGTech.
PR17 Series Insert Grades
MEGACOAT NANO PLUS technology which provides excellent wear resistance for longer tool life and a high-quality surface finish.n
DRV Magic Drill Expansion
With new larger diameters finally available, these high-efficiency indexable drills span from Ø0.500"~Ø2.000" and Ø12mm~Ø60mm sizes.Achieve excellent drilling precision with less variation in hole diameter. The DRV's optimal web thickness design creates low cutting forces and reduces chattering for smooth drilling applications.n
MECHT
The MECHT's unique holder design features a multi-stage insert combination for increased stability, rigid body for increased reliability, and coolant holes over each insert for excellent chip evacuation.
MFWN-Mini
The additional cutter designs feature a smaller 5mm D.O.C. insert size with the same cost-efficient, double-sided, 6-edge design from the M-SIX line. The M-Six double-sided, 6-edge insert milling cutters with tough cutting edge due to wide design.n
Cam Follower
In heavy-duty cam-driven machines, improper mounting often causes misalignment that produces thrust forces and metal contact between the bearing's outer ring and side plate. Heavy loading also creates deflections and uneven loading at the stud. Heat resulting from metal-to-metal contact can further reduce the cam follower's life.n
Tool maker cuts costs, while working to save the planet
The main driver of business sustainability goals is to make an impact on the environment. Another benefit is the economic value of implementing sustainable actions. Can businesses save money, and protect the planet? Sandvik thinks so.
Expanded Range of powRgrip ANSI Tap Collets
The expanded range of ANSI tap collets is fully compatible with existing powRgrip holders and only require shanks with tolerances of h9 or better. Manufactured with an internal square, these collets are specifically designed for use on CNC machines with synchronized machine spindle speeds and feed rates.
Special powRgrip Startup Package
The new set of packages allows manufacturers to get started with powRgrip as quickly as possible for their particular toolholding needs. Packages includes a PGC-A handpump clamping unit, five toolholders and 10 PG collets. Holders are available with CAT 40, BT 30, HSK-A63 and HSK-E40 interfaces with standard collets in PH10, PG15, and PG25 sizes. The PGC-A Special Compact Set is also available for separate purchase.
High-performance endmills push dollars to the bottom line
ARCH Cutting Tools, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, recently visited with Quality Machine & Repair Inc., Hartville, Ohio, to learn more about the company's decision to use Patriot High Performance™ endmills for a small run of complex parts made of a flame-hardened 4140 steel with a crust in the 50 Rockwell range. The company ordered 16 endmills for the job, but only needed two.
CAD solution for multi-user facility
When it comes to designing, CAD software has its place, but purchasing and maintaining multiple CAD licenses can be expensive. Kisters offers a solution for supplying CAD to multiple users.
