Sales and management changes fortify Jorgensen Conveyors’ future
Jorgensen Conveyors and Filtration Solutions in Mequon, Wisconsin, has made several promotions and a key new hire within its sales and management teams.
B-Cool MC 600
Blaser Swisslube, has focused on an economical formulation that shows robust performance in universal machining applications. The strengths of the new coolant become fully apparent when machining cast iron, steel and aluminum alloys. B-Cool MC 600 demonstrates good material and machine compatibility and can be mixed with all water types. It contains no critical substances such as boron, chlorine, formaldehyde or sulfur.
FORMTRACER Avant Series
The FORMTRACER Avant is a revolutionary hybrid measuring system that measures advanced contour and surface roughness features with high precision, speed, flexibility and efficiency in one machine. "Hot swapping" heads along with an inclining X-axis drive, double-sided conical stylus for continuous measurements of upper/lower surfaces, and a wide variety of optional accessories to measure nearly any type of workpiece makes the Avant Series one of the most versatile machines of its type.
Automation open house goes virtual
Fastems Group will host an online Open House & Conference entitled "Productivity Beyond Machine Tending" that will showcase the latest developments in automation and surrounding technologies.
3D scanner speeds roof rack production
Utilizing the NVision 3D HandHeld laser scanner, a Texas job shop was able to produce highly precise, custom roof racks.
Screw Jack
AMF presents a flexible, modular screw jack. Various elements can be assembled securely up to the required height in order to fix large and medium-sized components in T-slots and grid plates. The burnished modules made of tempered steel are reliably connected with a threaded ring and allow great flexibility during assembly.
TungMeister VFM Milling Head
TungMeister is designed to reduce a significant amount of tool changeover time through the ability to replace used heads instead of an entire tool. Since it takes no more than one minute for tool exchange, setup time can significantly be reduced to as short as one tenth of the time it would typically take to replace solid carbide end mills for maximum productivity and cost effectiveness. With over 13,000 possible head-shank combinations available, TungMeister can readily provide tooling flexibility that enables users to find a solution for almost every application.
ColWear Vacuum Fused Wear Plates
Wall Colmonoy presents a superior wear plate with lifetime beyond traditional competitors in the marketplace. ColWear plates are produced using proprietary Colmonoy® nickel and Wallex® cobalt alloys, with optional tungsten carbide. Vacuum-furnace production techniques developed over decades have been used to improve the metallurgical properties of the alloy matrix.n
AB735 Synchronized Tapping Adaptor
More cost-effective than comparable systems but just as easy on tools, the AB735 synchronous threading adaptor maximizes tool performance. In addition to the minimized wear, the modular design of the adaptor also contributes to cost-efficiency: Exchangeable front pieces for different thread sizes or tool diameters (ER16 to ER32) can be used with the same collet. It also fits in virtually all ER adaptors, without requiring further investments.
EM-30 Device
The EM-30 product series complies with e.MMC-5.1 specifications and is fully downward compatible. Thanks to established standards, integration is very easy. With a temperature range of -40 to +85°C, the product family is ideally suited for the most important embedded applications. With sequential data rates of up to 300 MB/s for read and 230 MB/s for write as well as 39 K IOPS and 41 K IOPS for read and write random access, EM-30 delivers the performance of SATA SSDs, but with significantly smaller size requirements and costs.
Tiger Aluminum Flap Discs
Weiler Abrasives is offering the 4-1/2 inch Tiger Aluminum flap discs in Type 27 or Type 29 with either 7/8 or 5/8-11 arbor holes and two grit options. The 36-grit disc is a good choice for chamfering, weld removal and stock removal, while the 60-grit disc is ideal for weld blending, finishing and cosmetic detail work.
Machining centers take jets to new heights
The F-35 Lightning is one of the most complex and lethal combat fighter jets in the world, and this machine is constructed with thousands of precision components. Starrag machinery are used to produce some of the most complex components on these precision jets.
