RF 100 Diver End Mills: Ramping, drilling, slotting, roughing & finishing
RF 100 Diver has established itself with customers that require high flexibility. The Ratio endmill covers five operations with one tool. It can perform drilling, ramping, slotting, roughing and finishing operations. As well as a program extension, Guhring is now introducing an innovation in the coolant delivery sector: internal cooling optimized for both milling and drilling.
Camp CHAMP debut
A hands-on educational program designed to spread awareness about careers in manufacturing, Camp CHAMP debuted as part of the Leyden Student Summit held last month at East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois.
Iscar’s New IHP Sumocham Heads Optimized for Drilling Non-Alloy/Carbon Steel
Iscar continues to provide high performance drilling solutions with the IHP drill head geometry and edge prep are optimized for drilling Non-Alloy / Carbon Steel. The design's strengthened cutting edge not only extends tool life but works well in non-rigid applications where other geometries may not be as suitable.
Multifunctional Measurer: Mitutoyo America’s Roundtracer Extreme
View a video presentation about Mitutoyo America Corp.'s RTX Roundtracer Extreme, which the company designed to provide fast, accurate measurement of workpiece roundess, contour and surface roughness. The video is presented here as a supplement to the Machine Technology column, "Multifunctional Measurer," which appears in the July 2023 issue of Cutting Tool Engineering magazine.
Tiger 2.0 Cutting, Grinding and Combo Wheels
In addition to offering fast cutting speed, Tiger 2.0 wheels last up to 40% longer to increase efficiency in operations' cutting and grinding applications. The wheels feature an award-winning blotter design that includes an industry-first, patent-pending Optimum Use Line. The line is a visual indicator that helps the operator use the wheel to its full life.
F.0100-ir Marking System
The ultrashort pulse laser marks in the deepest, matt and non-reflective black without generating significant heat input on the workpiece. Even through further processing steps, such as passivation, the marking remains reliably legible and corrosion resistant.
Digital Assistance Systems
Remote Service offers simple and fast assistance. For example, in the event of machine downtime, UNITED GRINDING North America customers can request service with the press of a button. The Service Monitor relieves those responsible for maintenance by clearly displaying all the important maintenance tasks based on the current machine's operating hours.
