DrillForce-Meister Flat Head Drill Tips

DrillForce-Meister uses exchangeable drill tips designed to efficiently open large diameter holes ranging from 20.0 mm to 40.0 mm (.787″ – 1.575″) at a lower cost. With the drill tips being exchangeable, DrillForce-Meister not only eliminates the need for regrinding and recoating, as is the case with solid carbide drills, but also reduces the amount of tool float inventory kept to avoid machine downtime, thus minimizing the overall cost per hole in high volume production lines.

HPR Solid Carbide Drill

The drill’s patented point thinning, special gashing, and a 143°-point angle provide excellent self- centering capabilities and reduce thrust, keeping the drill running straight even at the highest feed rates. In addition, four margin lands deliver maximum stability when drilling cross holes and inclined exits.

DRV Magic Drill Expansion

With new larger diameters finally available, these high-efficiency indexable drills span from Ø0.500"~Ø2.000" and Ø12mm~Ø60mm sizes.Achieve excellent drilling precision with less variation in hole diameter. The DRV's optimal web thickness design creates low cutting forces and reduces chattering for smooth drilling applications.

GARANT Master Steel DEEP

Internal tests show the new GARANT Master Steel DEEP achieved impressive results in comparison to its predecessor and products from competitors: up to 30 percent higher metal removal rate, up to 70 percent higher process reliability and three times longer tool life.

Platinum Tooling presents a 2020 virtual booth

Platinum Tooling Technologies recently created a video highlighting the products the company would have exhibited at its booth during IMTS had the 2020 trade show not been canceled due to the pandemic.

Preben Hansen, company president, presents the various product lines Platinum Tooling offers and highlights the areas of expansion since the last IMTS show in 2018.  Platinum Tooling Technologies, Inc. has a wide selection of machine tool accessories for most machine brands.

KenTIP FS FEG Insert

Drilling flat-bottom holes is a challenge. So is drilling on inclined or curved surfaces, drilling into cross holes, drilling stacked plates, and drilling into cross holes, stacked plates and castings and other rough surfaces. Not anymore. Leveraging the success of its KenTIP FS modular drill, Kennametal has developed a unique insert geometry (FEG) that streamlines many of these types of applications and simplifies the drilling of counterbores and pilot holes as well.

Dream Drills Pro Cutting Tools

Dream Drills Pro tools are made with micrograin carbide for exceptional core strength and longer tool life. They also feature YG-1’s unique, wave-shaped cutting edge to reduce cutting forces, and an advanced, wide-flute design optimized for faster, reliable chip evacuation. A self-centering 140° point angle reduces torque and extends tool life.

DrillMeister Range Expanded

DrillMeister incorporates a unique self-locking interface that enables simple and secure drill head exchange. Since drill heads can be replaced without having to remove the drill body from the spindle tool setup time can significantly be reduced, eliminating presetting, offset, and touch off of the replaced tool.
