Drilling
The first four-flute drill on the market!
The CERATIZIT WTX-HFDS solid carbide drill with Dragonskin coating achieves new levels of quality, hole tolerance, and positioning accuracy, with low burr formation while entering and exiting the hole. The core stability of the drill is retained with optimum cooling via four internal spiral coolant holes making the drilling process safe and effective. The pyramid geometry of the WTX-HFDS allows for higher speed rates and precise drilling performance and the cutting force is distributed to all four cutting edges, providing longer tool life and overall cost savings.
Deep hole drilling strategy
Sandvik Coromant offers a deep hole drilling strategy using its CoroDrill 861-GP and 861-GM drills in this brief video supplement to "A Happy Medium," a feature article in the October 2021 issue of Cutting Tool Engineering that delves into effectively drilling austempered ductile iron.
Extreme Drilling from Guhring
Designed for extreme drilling in steels, Guhring’s RT100 XF drill family delivers. The carbide grade developed for the RT100 XF balances hardness and toughness. Polished flutes improve chip evacuation, reducing machining temperature and protecting the cutting edges. The micro-geometry honing process ensures a uniform hone resulting in a stable and efficient cutting edge.
Walter highlights features of DB133 Supreme drills
The new DB133 drills, with their 140° point geometry, are available in diameter range from 1/32-5/64 in. and 0.5 to 2.95 mm. Length to diameter ratios (L/D) of 5, 8 and 12 x Dc are standard.
Mikron Tool Demos CrazyDrill Flex
The Flex drills are available in steps of one hundredth millimeter for drilling depths of 50 x D, as well as the "shorter" lengths of 20 x D and 30 x D.
