Finishing Equipment

Mounted Stone Kit

The stones have a distinct pink color due to their components and can be used on a variety of steels and alloys where sharp cutting action is essential. The characteristics of the pink abrasive grain make the stones exceptionally durable while providing cooler cutting. Each kit contains a wide variety of stone sizes for use on both large and small workpieces.

SHUR-BRITE Mounted Seamless Satin Finishing Wheels

Made without a scrim reinforcement, the SHUR-BRITE® Satin Finishing materials are lighter, more pliable, and conformable than other non-woven materials.  Suitable for wet or dry applications, they are resistant to loading, and produce consistent performance throughout their extended life.  Available with ¼” shank, 2-inch width, and 3- or 4-inch diameter, in medium, fine, and very fine grades.

WBK20 and WBK30 CBN grades

These new grades complement Walter's previously released WBH10C coated CBN and WBH10 and WBH20 CBN grade ideal for high temperature stability in hard metal turning. These inserts also have the option of chip breaker (TM-M2) for trouble shooting and wiper (MW2) for exceptional surface finish or higher feed and productivity. Various standard ISO turning insert shapes with these new grades, such as C, D, S and T, are available in both positive and negative clearance geometries. Select grades WBS10 and WBH20 are also available as grooving inserts for aerospace alloys and hard steels respectively.

AutoHone

Unlike traditional drag finishing machines, the AutoHone developed by North Kingston, Rhode Island-based Bel Air Finishing Supply Inc., rotates media instead of parts.

ALPHA-KUT Quick Change Disks

ALPHA-KUT™ consists of triangular, precision-formed abrasive grains which exhibit the continually self-sharpening properties and wear characteristics of ceramics, delivering a consistent cutting action over a long service life.  The grain strength is complemented by a rigid fiber backing for stability, allowing added pressure for maximum stock removal.  ALPHA-KUT™ quick change discs are ideal for heavy material removal or hardened materials, such as castings where the sprue is removed, large parts with excessive parting lines, large weld removal in narrow or otherwise inaccessible areas, weld or seam removal and blending, leveling and rough shaping, and more.

SHUR-BRITE Surface Conditioning Belts

With repeatable finishes, SHUR-BRITE® belts are ideal for large scale robotic applications.  Users can create linear scratch patterns on stainless steel food equipment, and blend or re-orient scratch patterns after repairs.  High edge durability and flexibility without chunking, and smear-free removal of oxidation, paint or adhesives make them ideal for many manufacturing and re-manufacturing environments.  Ideal for a wide variety of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, exotic alloys, plastics, and composites.

SHUR-KUT Coated Cartridge Rolls

Ceramic cartridge rolls feature self-sharpening grains which continually produce fresh cutting points which easily cut through stainless and alloys.  Self-sharpening grains also reduce friction and prolong cut rates.  Additional grinding aid further reduces heat for extended wear and reduced downtime.  Multiple layers wear away to expose fresh abrasive material, further extending service life.

BearingStar 90

Due to the extremely short auxiliary process time of 0.9 seconds, the BearingStar 90 is currently able to achieve the quickest roller bearings finish processing in the world. The floor to floor time can be a sensational 3.5 seconds under the conditions of a direct link with an upstream grinding machine, for example, a deep groove ball bearing of an outer and inner ring Type 625. Furthermore the changeover time between two good parts can be reduced to less than 20 minutes. The new fast runner for mass production can even be flexibly converted from radial to axial bearing rings and from ball bearing to roller bearing processing.

MicroStar iQ

The 8 station machine for the combination processing doesn’t just ensure 100% compliance of all drawing dimensions for highly precise workpieces, but also the consolidation of the process stream. It generates significant cost savings. Oscillation sensors control the sensors and also the quality of the processes. In the area of active magnetic spindle technology, the magnetic fields of the bearings retain the spindle both radially and axially, and perform the feed motions.
