Big expansion set for ANCA

ANCA Inc. will expand its plant in Wixom, Mich., by 50 percent, expanding its inventory and spare parts warehouse capacity, adding a dedicated customer focus and training center, and doubling its machine demonstration area. The announcement was made by Russell Riddiford, ANCA president. ANCA, a private company, did not disclose the dollar value of the investment.

DualForce Fluting Wheels

Abrasive Technology’s DualForce fluting wheels are manufactured using the company’s proprietary, controlled-structure process, which creates space between the abrasive particles, for a freer-cutting, low power-consuming wheel that withstands cutting forces generated when grinding carbide and high-speed steel. These wheels maintain high grind ratios for holding wheel shape, form and size with lower wheel wear and higher carbide removal when operators run multiple machines or lights out.

CarbonForce Vitrified CBN Wheels

Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced CarbonForce, a new lightweight line of vitrified CBN wheels for OD grinding. With proprietary high-strength carbon fiber cores, CarbonForce wheels are 75 percent lighter than heavier steel-hubbed wheels and provide the safety and performance-enhancing benefits of a precision superabrasive wheel, according to the company.

Small Angle Grinders

In a major enhancement to its line of grinders, Robert Bosch Tool Corp. has rolled out a lineup of small angle grinders that reportedly feature some of the highest power, greatest durability and most safety-focused options in the power tool industry. This updated portfolio of corded and cordless angle grinders combines performance and overall tool lifetime with ergonomic design, including a reengineering of paddle-grip switches.

smartLine Grinding Machines

The smartLine variant is a flexible, modular machine concept. “The secret of our smartLine range is its modular structure,” points out Dr. Markus Stanik, managing director of Elb-Schliff. “We leverage a modular machine kit for the customized assembly of both surface grinding and complex profile grinding machines.”

BG Series Grinding Machines

The BG series machines are equipped with a moving table or traveling column, depending on the workpiece, and are designed for grinding complex and large tools such as broaches. Depending on machine size, the components have lengths ranging from 1,000 mm at a workpiece diameter of 10-200 mm up to a maximum workpiece length of 3,000 mm and a diameter of 600 mm. The BG can grind both straight toothed and helical tools.
