eXtended Transport System

The eXtended Transport System (XTS) from Beckhoff Automation is now available in the U.S. The EtherCAT-enabled XTS offers paradigm-shifting capabilities for motion control and mechatronics by combining the advantages of proven rotary and linear drive principles into a new modular platform. With its compact and flexible design, the advanced mechatronic system can reduce machine footprint up to 50%.

Dual Absolute Encoder Versions

Electromate introduces Dual Absolute encoder versions of the FHA-C mini actuator, which feature BiSS-C bi-directional communication for both encoders. The dual encoders are incorporated in essentially the same package size as the long-standing FHA-C mini single incremental encoder version. Without increasing the size, the dual absolute encoder offers single turn absolute position at the output, without the need for battery back-up.

XY Ultrasonic Motor Stage

Precision motion specialist PI (Physik Instrumente) adds a new integrated XY stage to its compact high-speed positioning stage roster, all powered by ultrasonic piezo-linear motors. The patented motors provide smooth motion, high resolution and rapid step and settle response while the self-clamping drive principle locks the platform in place without power, an advantage in applications where position stability and low power consumption matter.

SCA5618 Stepper Motor

With the SCA5618, Nanotec offers a stepper motor with 15-30% more torque than comparable motors with a 56 mm flange (NEMA 23). Thanks to an improved stator geometry and optimized magnetic materials, the rotor inertia is no higher than that of the predecessor model.

AVENTICS Smart Pneumatics Analyzer

Emerson has introduced a new tool to help pneumatic system users quickly and easily see the potential benefits of integrating IIoT. By connecting the new AVENTICS Smart Pneumatics Analyzer to the compressed air supply on an existing machine, users will have instant analysis options for key machine characteristics such as compressed air consumption and possible leakages.
