E2.1 Series Chain

A new energy chain from igus in small and medium sizes is quieter, stronger and dramatically reduces assembly time. The new E2.1 series chain saves users 50 percent on installation time, and adapts to the requirements of the machine. The chain offers long service life and silent operation, and in the future, users will be able to choose the ideal energy chain or the correct energy tube for reliable cable guidance for over 850 different variants.

High-Load Ball Screws

Thomson Industries Inc. has introduced a ball screw with more than twice the load capacity of a standard ball screw. The redesigned ball screws handle more than double the load capacity or provide 10 times the service life compared to standard ball screws at equivalent performance points – along with Thomson’s characteristic German-engineered precision, high reliability and exemplary stiffness.

LC 201 Absolute Linear Scale

Long machine tool axes are increasingly being equipped with linear drives, and HEIDENHAIN’s new LC 201 absolute linear scale was introduced to specifically meet those drive position feedback needs. This new scale is a single-section METALLUR tape encoder, which is suitable for use in linear motor applications that may be required to reach high acceleration levels within the linear drive systems.

Henninger Speed Increasers

Platinum Tooling, an importer of live tools, angle heads, marking tools, Swiss tools and multiple-spindle tools manufactured by various global suppliers, is now importing Henninger Speed Increasers for North America. The announcement was made by company president, Preben Hansen, at the company's headquarters in Prospect Heights, Illinois.

XL4s Linear Amplifier

Aerotech’s XL4s linear amplifier is designed for closed-loop servo control of voice coil and single-phase motors, eliminating the non-linearities common with PWM amplifiers. The XL4s provides deterministic behavior, auto-identification, and easy software setup and features a multiple-core, double-precision, floating-point DSP that controls the digital PID.
