Artec Micro 3D Scanner

Exact Metrology announces the immediate availability of the new Artec Micro 3D scanner. The Artec Micro, an automated, metrology-grade desktop 3D scanner, is Artec 3D’s most accurate 3D scanner to-date and is used for scanning tiny mechanical parts, such as engine valves or connectors, for inspection and reverse engineering, as well as other small objects for industries such as heritage preservation, dentistry and medical.

HDV300 and HDV400 Benchtop Digital Video Comparators

The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced a new generation of its HDV300 and HDV400 benchtop digital video comparators with impressive speed increases and improved illumination, design and convenience enhancements. CNC motion on the new HDV systems is significantly faster, enabling even greater user measurement throughput. At 10mm/ sec., speed on the Y-axis has tripled and X-axis speed has almost doubled at 45mm/ sec. In addition, improved LED ring lighting provides a more consistent illumination.

MarSurf VD Series

Mahr Inc. announced the addition of the variable-drive MarSurf VD series, which enables roughness and contour measurements to be performed on the same machine. The operator can easily and quickly change between a high-precision roughness probe system or a highly dynamic contour probe system, depending on the measuring task.

Blue laser technology: setting the standard in on-machine tool measurement

The new NC4+ Blue system is designed to help machine shops across many industries transform their production capabilities. Compared to red laser sources found in conventional non-contact tool setters, Renishaw’s blue laser technology delivers improved diffraction effects and optimized laser beam geometry. In addition to industry-first blue laser technology, the NC4+ features enhanced optics built to deliver greater tool measurement accuracy.

Global S HTA (High Throughput and Accuracy) Measurement System

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division announced the availability of the latest version of the Global S HTA (high throughput and accuracy) solution for the aerospace industry, which brings major enhancements to Hexagon’s high-speed, non-contact compressor blade measurement system. It builds on the performance strength of the GLOBAL S HTA’s predecessor, which delivered a cycle time that was between two and five times faster than traditional tactile measurement.
