Titan Tool Supply Inc. announces the introduction of its Model ZDM-3 vertical displacement microscope to measure minute variations in height. The Z-axis electronic depth measuring microscope features a built-in LED co-axial illuminator to allow the user to focus on the top or bottom of the part being inspected. The illuminator includes a green filter and is adjustable to control light, color and intensity.

HEIDENHAIN Corp. introduces the new QUADRA-CHEK 2000 evaluation unit for use with everyday measuring and metrology tasks in parts inspection applications. Measuring point acquisition with the QUADRA-CHEK (QC) 2000 is quick, easy and accurate when utilizing crosshairs or when used with optical edge detection on profile projectors, measuring microscopes and/or 2-D measuring machines with up to three axes.

API has introduced its 6DoF vProbe, a hand-held tactile probing system, for use with its portable RADIAN Pro and Plus Laser Tracker range, extending their dimensional measurements capabilities to perform part inspections conventionally performed by large fixed coordinate measuring machines.

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division launched a new laser tracker line, the Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600. This new product introduces a new concept in metrology-grade laser trackers, with targetless 3D scanning possible for the first time directly from the laser tracker. The ATS600 can scan a surface with metrological accuracy from a distance of up to 40 meters with no need for targets, sprays, reflectors or probes.

Marposs offers the Grindline laser measuring system for on-line gauging of parts produced by centerless grinding machines such as pins, shock rods, steering racks or other parts needing a single- or multiple-diameter check.
