Piezoelectric Accelerometers

Kistler has announced the availability of its piezoelectric accelerometer technologies for cost-effective, high-accuracy support of aircraft, helicopter, rotorcraft, missile, satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) ground vibration testing (GVT), as well as large-scale MIMO and SIMO aerospace structural monitoring.

MK-21

The MK-21 vibration meter from RWC Testing & Lab Supplies measures machine vibration to alert the user when to provide maintenance to avoid downtime.

MSR 40

A new modular steel tape rotary encoder from RSF Elektronik is now available for measurement applications with diameters of 6 inches (150mm) to 6 feet (~2m). Named the MSR 40, this encoder is available in North America through Heidenhain Corp.

Quadra-Check

Continuing to provide the Quadra-Chek metrology digital readout for 2-D geometries, Heidenhain Corp. introduces it with a new dark gray faceplate. It is now called the Quadra-Chek ND 1200.

Absolute Angle Encoders

Heidenhain Corp.'s recently introduced a new phase of its absolute angle encoders that is said to offer numerous advantages for today's machine tools. The angle encoders with integral bearing and hollow shaft provide reliable position and speed control through use on rotational axes such as on rotary tables, tilting axes and direct drives, and are often the encoders of choice when angle measurement in accuracy of a few angular seconds is required.
