KAAST Machine Tools Inc. announces a new fully automatic NC cold saw for its line of circular saws. The HCS features a rigid design and sophisticated antivibration features, resulting in a cut that is fast, precise, efficient and clean.

Last year TigerStop announced the addition of the AutoLoader, an automatic infeed station for the TigerSaw 1000 and TigerSaw 2000 fully automated cross-cutting saw systems for wood and metal, respectively. TigerStop announces that the AutoLoader is now compatible with TigerStop automated material pushers and positioners, as well as TigerTurbo high-speed automated pushers for material weighing up to 840 lbs.

The new JET 13” EVS semiautomatic dual-mitering bandsaw saves time and boosts shop productivity with its unique, swiveling head that miters 45° right and 60° left for quick angle cuts without repositioning the workpiece. A frequency inverter, also exclusive to this EVS saw, provides a full range of blade speeds from 50 to 297 rpm.

The vertical toolroom saw from Palmgren is designed for contour sawing, beveling, slicing, ripping, stack cutting and cutting off.

TigerStop offers a new software upgrade for TigerTouch called Dynamic Pack Optimization , which nests packs or bundles of material for the greatest yield. Dynamic Pack Optimization enhances raw material usage and reduces scrap waste.

Simonds Saw has announced hat its European partner, WESPA, has introduced the ability to produce instant "blade-to-machine" data transfer of machine-specific cutting parameters for its Individual Performance Cutting (IPC) custom bandsaw blades program. This instant data transfer technology directly supports the Industry 4.0 concept.

Palmgren says its cold saw is ideal for very precise, burr-free cuts in low- and high-carbon steels and medium-gauge tubes and profiles. Its pivot head design permits fast, accurate miter cuts and is ideally suited for low- to medium-volume product cutting applications.

The ABS 325 L from Knuth Machine Tools USA Inc. is a fully automatic bandsaw. According to the company, it provides enhanced automation, fast cutting action and less downtime.

Parker Steel Co. offers a large supply of metric-sized metals, ideal for applications where pre-sized metric parts are needed. Parker Steel’s cold-finished carbon steel, alloyed and high-strength stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass and tool steel bars/shafting, tubing, sheets and plates, angles, channels and tees; and other specialty shapes can be shipped out the same day as ordered with few exceptions.

A saw and track system for accurately cutting pressure vessels up to 60” in diameter in preparation for hydrostatic testing and complete fabrication is being introduced by Esco Tool. The Esco APS-438 Air Powered Saw and WrapTrack trolley lets operators rapidly cold cut vessels from 6” to 60” in diameter with ±1/16” accuracy to permit better bevels for subsequent welding.
