The H-Bot by ATS Systems removes common barriers to automated parts loading for CNC lathes. The system is low cost, easy to use, and allows job-to-job changeover in just 10 minutes.
It handles round slugs, castings, and forgings from 2" to 6" diameter and up to 50-lbs per gripper. The H-Bot fits most common 6", 8", and 10" chuck lathes, whether single or subspindle configuration, and it does not impede operator access to the work zone, as front mounted robots do.
Installation, training and lifetime support is by the company's local, factory-trained service staff.

May also be fitted to the machine table to hold a workpiece. Two or more adjustable jaws actually hold the tool or part. May be actuated manually, pneumatically, hydraulically or electrically. See collet.
- computer numerical control ( CNC)
computer numerical control ( CNC)
Microprocessor-based controller dedicated to a machine tool that permits the creation or modification of parts. Programmed numerical control activates the machine’s servos and spindle drives and controls the various machining operations. See DNC, direct numerical control; NC, numerical control.
