KENT, Wash. – OMAX Corporation is excited to announce two changes to its management team. Mike Ruppenthal has been promoted from Vice President of North American Sales to OMAX’s General Manager. Steve Ulmer has been promoted from Vice President of International Sales to Vice President of Sales.

For the past seven years, Ruppenthal has served as OMAX’s VP of North American Sales responsible for developing sales strategy across the United States and Canada. Prior to coming to OMAX, he worked at Flow International for eleven years, in both sales and marketing. In his new position as OMAX’s General Manager, Ruppenthal will oversee day-to-day operation of the OMAX organization. Ruppenthal said, “I’ve been fortunate to have worked with the exemplary talent here at OMAX and it’s an honor to lead the OMAX team as its general manager.”

Ulmer has been the VP of International Sales at OMAX for over 10 years. Before that, he worked five years in a variety of territories selling OMAX products and managing distributors as a regional sales manager. As the new VP of Sales, Ulmer will oversee all of OMAX’s sales divisions, both internationally and domestically. “I am excited to be appointed to this position and look forward to all the positive potential of having OMAX product sales together under one division,” said Ulmer. “This will allow all of our groups to work together to better sell OMAX.”

Both shifts in the management team come after the merger of Hypertherm and OMAX Corp. The merger combined OMAX’s industry-leading direct drive pumps, software and applications technologies with Hypertherm’s portfolio of intensifier-based pumps, abrasive recycling systems and AccuStream consumables to form the leading product and technology offering in the industry.
