A portable, ID clamping pipe beveler that is now offered with a powerful new variable-speed electric motor for use on-site or in fabrication shops has been introduced by Esco Tool.
The Prepzilla MILLHOG ID Clamping End Prep Tool features a new electric motor with increased power and variable speeds from 9 to 31 rpm for continuous use and faster beveling. Equipped with a three-blade holder, which can bevel any angle, face and bore simultaneously, this portable tool can produce precision end preps on hard stainless steels and alloyed pipe.
Only requiring one mandrel and eight sets of clamps for the entire range of the tool, the tool is pipe from 1.575” ID to 8.625” OD. Electric motor specifications are: 230V, 2300 Watt, 50-60 Hz and this portable pipe machining tool has dual opposed tapered roller bearings to support the motor.

- stainless steels
stainless steels
Stainless steels possess high strength, heat resistance, excellent workability and erosion resistance. Four general classes have been developed to cover a range of mechanical and physical properties for particular applications. The four classes are: the austenitic types of the chromium-nickel-manganese 200 series and the chromium-nickel 300 series; the martensitic types of the chromium, hardenable 400 series; the chromium, nonhardenable 400-series ferritic types; and the precipitation-hardening type of chromium-nickel alloys with additional elements that are hardenable by solution treating and aging.
