Sieglinde Vollmer, affectionately known as "Fräulein Vollmer" (“Miss Vollmer”), died on Jan. 29, 2025, in Biberach, Germany.

Vollmer, daughter of company founder Heinrich Vollmer, was an integral member of the company's management team who also founded the Sieglinde Vollmer Foundation, which supports charitable and nonprofit organizations in Biberach.

"With deep sorrow, we announce that our esteemed senior boss, Miss Sieglinde Vollmer, has left us," the company posted on LinkedIn. "She passed away peacefully in the presence of her loved ones.

"Let us be grateful that we had the opportunity to celebrate her 100th birthday together last November – a wonderful occasion to once again honor her achievements, dedication, and remarkable life's work. Miss Vollmer gave VOLLMER a unique identity. With her warm-hearted nature, strong sense of family, and tireless commitment, she was not only a defining figure but also the heart of our company. Even beyond her passing, she will remain our guiding figure."

Sieglinde Vollmer was born on November 30th, 1924. She was 15 years old when her father founded the company. In 1961, a year after her father's death, Vollmer’s language skills became essential for the company’s export department. In 1964, she took over the management of the company alongside her brother Udo Vollmer and, since 1987, has played a key role in steering the medium-sized business.

At the time of her birthday celebration, she remained active in the company: she was a member of the supervisory board of the Vollmer Group and curator of the Sieglinde Vollmer Foundation

By founding the Sieglinde Vollmer Foundation, she ensured early on that our company would be continued in her spirit and that of company founder Heinrich Vollmer. And that is exactly what we will do.

"With great respect and deep, sincere gratitude, we bid farewell to a woman who, with her courage and keen sense for the right decisions in a male-dominated industry, set strong accents, inspired with her personality, and led our company to become a technology leader. Always deeply connected to Biberach and the region, she left a lasting impact as a person."
