Using Alum-Renew prior to painting improves even distribution of high-performance resins through reduction of surface irregularities. The kit allows users to try products of varying intensities before purchasing selected materials in production quantities.

EcoShield® 386 FD Water Based Micro Corrosion Inhibiting Coating is a force-dry version of Cortec's top water-based anticorrosion coating, EcoShield® VpCI®-386. As such, EcoShield® 386 FD offers excellent corrosion protection at 1.5-3.0 mils (37.5-75 µm) DFT (dry film thickness). The advantage is that EcoShield® 386 FD force-dries in only 5-10 minutes at 150 °F (54 °C) and has good hot hardness, which keeps the hot coated parts from sticking together before they can cool down.

This media has a patented shape without any flat, parallel surface areas. On the one hand this unique design prevents media lodging in the work pieces, which can occur particularly in case of complex work pieces. Such lodged media can severely affect the finishing process and must frequently be removed by hand. On the other hand, the shape with its rounded surface areas allows the surface refinement of work pieces, which to-date could not be handled by mass finishing at all or only with very complicated operational setups. This includes components with difficult-to-reach surface areas like tight radii, undercuts, notches and slits, which can frequently be found in stamped and bent components.

3M Xtract™ Cubitron™ II discs contain 3M Precision-Shaped Grain technology designed to continually fracture into sharp cutting edges. As a result of this technology, 3M Xtract™ mesh abrasives offer twice the abrasive life and cut rate of leading competitors' net discs.

Operating at the optimum temperature range of 200° – 210°F as the original Tru Temp XL, TRU TEMP 2nd GEN makes it easy to use in-house and operator friendly. The chemistry is easy to manage and contains no EPA regulated metals, so rinse waters are generally sewerable by neutralizing the pH with a typical discharge range of pH 7-11. Additionally, reaching this pH range takes only 20% of the acid than other processes. Since TRU TEMP 2nd GEN requires no effluent treatment, the initial capital investment is only about half of other blackening finishes.

The machine's repeatability and top quality result from a pure atmosphere during printing, a consistently low-oxygen environment with fewer than 25 parts per million. This solution ensures excellent microstructures, very high material density and stable mechanical properties.
