Sherline Products Inc. says its CNC 5C collet indexer reduces setup time when used with a Bridgeport-type mill and a 6" angle lock vise.

With the vise indicated, the indexer can be clamped vertically or horizontally. Alignment with the vise is assured by the ground steel mounting plate, according to the company. The pneumatic collet is opened and closed with a push/pull knob.

After the indexing operation is completed, the operator removes the indexer from the vise. Programming is performed from a 110-VAC electronic driver control box, which is connected by a 48" flexible conduit cable.

The indexer is suitable for use with a mist spray of oil-based coolant, but is not intended for use with flood coolant.
