HXR Series Endmill

LMT Onsrud LP is launching a new endmill series designed to meet the toughest challenges of machining Inconel and other nickel-based materials. Configured in 7-, 9- or 11-flute options, the HXR series endmill line delivers fast material-removal rates and has been developed for low radial and higher axial engagement for high-efficiency machining (HEM).

Longer tool lengths incorporate a chipbreaker design to enhance chip removal, increasing tool performance. This tooling series is also ENDURASpeed coated for greater tool life and performance.

    Groove or other tool geometry that breaks chips into small fragments as they come off the workpiece. Designed to prevent chips from becoming so long that they are difficult to control, catch in turning parts and cause safety problems.

    Milling cutter held by its shank that cuts on its periphery and, if so configured, on its free end. Takes a variety of shapes (single- and double-end, roughing, ballnose and cup-end) and sizes (stub, medium, long and extra-long). Also comes with differing numbers of flutes.
