Machinist Calc Pro App

Calculated Industries has released new apps of its popular Machinist Calc Pro Advanced Machining Math and Reference Tool. Available for both iPhone and Android Smartphones, the new apps have all the functionality of the handheld calculator, combining a complete assortment of machining calculations with step-saving thread and drill size chart look-ups, speeds and feeds, right triangle solutions, bolt patterns, and much more.

In addition, the apps come with two versions of the calculator. the original Machinist Calc Pro, plus the International version which defaults to metric units. The apps have a full Users Guide built in as well as the ability to press and hold a key for specific help.

The formula for feed per tooth (fpt) is table feed (ipm)/number of flutes/spindle speed (rpm). The formula for spindle speed (rpm) is cutting speed (sfm) 5 3.82/tool diameter.
