Model 2850MT Tool and Cutter Grinder

October 13, 2013

Unison Corp. announces the introduction of its new 7-axis Model 2850MT CNC microtool grinder. The Model 2850MT was designed to produce ultraprecise custom microtools, which are commonly used in the manufacture of critical aerospace, microfluidic, medical, dental and semiconductor components. This machine is equipped with Yaskawa AC servomotors and drive amplifiers, which are backed by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty as well as an automatic pick-n-place parts loader/unloader for 24/7 lights-out manufacturing.

The Model 2850MT can also be equipped with an on-board electric wheel dressing system and a precise probe assembly to guarantee repeatability of parts. The Model 2850MT can manufacture drills, endmills and reamers as small as .013" and burrs in sizes starting at .02" in diameter. Unison's proprietary Version 7 software allows the machine's operator to quickly customize and/or modify tool geometry with Unison's user-friendly application software and then verified by a real-time 3D parts predictor. Each machine is supplied with a complete software package and library of tool programs.
