With Mastercam 2022, you can now define reusable holder assemblies. Create collections of adapters, extensions, and holders, and store them as an assembly. You can save time and avoid errors by creating reusable assemblies of modular components. These assemblies can be stored in a library and used for the creation of full 3D Lathe Tool assemblies.

The marking head is suitable to mark several materials up to a hardness of 63 HRC. The marking force of the solenoid which was especially developed for marking purposes can be adjusted individually to the material and the needed marking depth (marking force 1 to 30). MERLIC 5 contains new and optimized features that further increase usability, robustness, and the field of possible applications. Among these features is included the improved camera handling using the Image Source Manager (ISM), which completely separates the image acquisition source from the image processing part. As a result, machine vision applications can be easily copied and run between different systems without adjusting the camera settings. The graphical user interface allows the image sources to be comfortably managed and configured.

The highly flexible and efficient high-pressure water jet deburring system enables deburring and cleaning with a water pressure of around 500 bar in one work step. The rotary table integrated in the treatment chamber of the new system with pneumatic connections for automatic workpiece clamping devices is designed for components with a diameter of up to 450 mm and a maximum height of 550 mm. The maximum workpiece weight including the clamping device is 100 kg. These dimensions make it possible to handle, for example, an engine block for a four- cylinder engine or several small parts. The water jet generated in the high- pressure unit with a pressure of up to 500 bar is passed through a four-way nozzle system with automatic nozzle switch.

This new feature for multi-axis machining automatically applies a rest finishing cycle to any remaining non-machined areas that could not be reached by the wall and floor finishing operations. The wall and floor finishing operations carry information about which areas can be machined and which areas cannot. The new rest finishing cycle automatically extracts this information from the operations and creates a rest machining area that can be reached using a different tool with automatic tilting.

CAMIO 2021 Geometry Validation reduces the time taken when preparing new inspection programs by automatically detecting which surfaces of the CAD model should be used to measure the feature. It ensures that all measurements are taken on suitable surfaces automatically and at the same time provides the programmer with the option to modify the default settings and selections. While the feature is being programmed, the CAD simulation highlights the geometry used for the validation and previews the measurement sequence. This combines with the Teach Path view to provide a full visual and numerical evaluation of the programming sequence prior to executing the touch points or scanning sequence, enabling the programmer to get the inspection sequence right first time when programming online or offline.

the PRAB Auto-Take Up automatically monitors tension using load cells on chain conveyors, including steel belt conveyors, drag conveyors, the PRAB ScrapVeyor, and more. The system is wired to a PLC control panel, which monitors tension and automatically tightens the belt to eliminate manual adjustments and downtime. It can be added to new conveyors or retrofitted onto existing models. If retrofitted onto an existing conveyor, the system can be operated using that conveyor’s original control panel. Automatic adjustments can be scheduled to be completed during low production times or shift changes.

This latest release of software enables the XK10 to take measurements at multiple points along each rail. The benefit of an increased number of measurement points is that the straightness of each rail is also measured at the same time. Parallelism between the rails can then be determined by looking at the difference in straightness at each point, giving a more accurate picture than a measurement of the overall angle between rails.

It also has a feature that allows other automation software or systems to interface with the CNC to fully automate the offset management process, or make the changes from a central cell-management software.
