Versatile, robust, durable – Junker corundum grinding machines fulfill the requirements of series production for a wide range of different workpieces. The CNC grinding machines grind elements such as flanges and journals on crankshafts, as well as gear, turbocharger and cardan shafts or spray nozzles. WIDIA has created an app to quickly access machining speeds and feeds for WIDIA tooling without interrupting production. The newly released Machining Central app scans the WIDIA product bar code or searches the tool’s corresponding order number or an ANSI or ISO catalog number to automatically generate product information and availability along with feeds and speeds in seconds.

Mitsui Seiki says its new Vertex 100 5-axis vertical machining center is engineered to fulfill manufacturers’ demands for a compact, high-speed machine capable of high-precision milling of larger parts such as blisks for aircraft engines. The Vertex 100 can machine workpieces 1,250 mm in diameter and 850 mm tall while occupying only 3 m x 4.2 m of shop floor space.

Farr Gold Series collectors are built from 3-foot-six-inch square modules that can be combined in dozens of configurations to fit the specific work environment. Each module accommodates airflows up to 5,000 cubic feet per minute (cfm) using four pleated filter cartridges mounted in a symmetrical frame.
