Robot density nearly doubled globally
The use of industrial robots in factories around the world is accelerating at a high rate: 126 robots per 10,000 employees is the new average of global robot density in the manufacturing industries.
CBN Grade WBH30
Additional improvement in surface quality and stability can be realized with advanced wiper geometry option. Walter offers the new WBH30 CBN grade in inserts with and without MW wiper geometry, and with a negative T-land chamfer for excellent strength in interrupted cuts.
RSH Electric Hygienic Rod-Style Actuator
The RSH is designed for forces up to 7,943 lbf (35kN), speeds up to 20 in/sec (498 mm/sec) and stroke lengths up to 48 in. (1200mm). It is available in both ball screw and roller screw options.
R-Theta 2-Axis Precision Motion Stages
The fast controllers allow highly precise triggering with 0.01% time tolerance between signals. Trigger signals can be derived off absolute encoders or analog signals (sin/cos encoder), enabling higher precision, safer, and simplified solutions as compared to outdated digital encoder-only triggers.
RUP1 Ultrasonic Probe
The RUP1 probe uses a 20 MHz transducer and provides a thickness measurement range of 1 mm to 20 mm with an accuracy of better than 10 microns using touch points. The tip ball is user-replaceable and is preserved by a protective cap that can be automatically removed and maximises tip ball life.
USCTI scholarship winner shares experience; 2022 award deadline March 1
Winning a U.S. Cutting Tool Institute scholarship in 2021 "was huge," and not just financially, according to Autumn Ohl, an aerospace engineering major in her freshman year at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.
The design engineer’s guide to photo-chemical etching
As a precision sheet metal machining technology, photo-chemical etching achieves exacting tolerances, is highly repeatable, and, in many instances, is the only technology that can cost-effectively manufacture precision metal components with the accuracy necessary in demanding, and often safety-critical applications.
KFA 1500 Compact Filter System
The KFA 1500 (260" x 100" x 103" h) has a tank volume of 10,000 liters and a filter capacity of 1,500 liters/minute. The medium is filtered by high-efficiency precoat filters in full flow at a filter fineness of 3-5 μm.
Bar Feeder Control
The control enhances the user-friendliness of the Quick Load Servo S3+, a bar feeder that is well suited for unattended and lights-out production thanks to its proven robustness and reliability. Accommodating spindle length bars with diameters from ¼" to 4 – ¾", the bar feeder enables partial changeovers in 15 seconds or less and complete changeovers in 1 minute or less.
GN 36, GN 37 Machine Feet
The machine foot GN 36 uses the weight of the machine to create a very stable and robust connection between the threaded stud and the foot. The threaded stud is not connected to the foot plate. The second machine foot GN 37 from Winco also has a central fastening hole running clear through.
VpCI-337
VpCI®-337 is a waterborne Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor that can be applied by fogging into metal void spaces. This labor-saving technique uses a minimum of product to protect large areas or volumes. Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors in the fogging fluid diffuse throughout the void and are attracted to metal surfaces where they "condense" and form a protective molecular layer.
Model 7905 Digital Static Meter
The Digital Static Meter is a sensitive and responsive product that indicates surface voltage and polarity on objects up to ±20 kV from one inch (25mm) away. After zeroing the meter, move it to within one inch of your problem surface(s) for a LED illuminated reading of the static voltage.
