Milling Machines

MILL P 800 U S

The MILL P 800 U S features a torque-motor driven rotary/tilt trunnion-style table that contributes to the machine’s continuous full 5-axis simultaneous movement for smooth part surface contouring. The high-performance, high dynamic torque motor drives eliminate backlash (pitch and reverse errors), friction, wear and heat generation. This equates to increased rigidity, longer lasting accuracy and less maintenance, unlike worm or G-driven type tables that often require significant amounts of maintenance because of their inherent mechanical play.

MaxiMill – 211-DC

The MaxiMill – 211-DC has 60% longer tool life compared to tools with standard cooling. Further, despite the complexity of the coolant holes inside the tool body, the MaxiMill – 211-DC is compatible with standard adapters with through-coolant supply without requiring any standard coolant on the chip breaker.

FZU22

The FZU22 boasts a substantial working range, from 71”-98” in the X-axis, 118”-138” in the Y-axis and 49” in the Z-axis.  A feed rate of 2756 ipm in the X- and Y-axes is standard while the acceleration on the machine is max. 118-197 in/sec2.  With a compact footprint of 11’ x 15’, the machine fits in the corner of any shop.  ISO 230-2 accuracy is provided.  A choice of milling heads is offered on the machine to suit a variety of applications.

1500MX CNC Mill

The 1500MX offers a host of features designed to enhance machining efficiency and precision. Crafted with an epoxy granite frame made in the U.S., this machine boasts ten times the damping of cast iron, ensuring chatter-free cuts, superior surface finishes, and 30% longer tool life.

Polished Rake Faces

Especially for milling aluminium alloys and plastics, Horn offers the indexable inserts with polished rake faces on all four edges from stock to counteract the formation of built-up edges. In conjunction with the positive chip breaker geometry, the sharp ground cutting edge produces a soft cut and high surface quality. The special grade is designed for use with the ISO N material group. The inserts can be used in all cutter body variants.

Milling Optimization Service

The basis for this innovative service is a dynamic stiffness analysis of the machine tool. The physical optimization phase (known as the ‘tap test’) can be accomplished with impulse hammers and accelerometers from Kistler; this is followed by an analysis of the customer’s NC program, performed with new software from Productive Machines. All the acquired data is then processed to create a new NC program which, once installed, ultimately leads to better cutting performance, longer tool lifetimes and higher OEE – to name just a few benefits.
