Deburring

J.W. Done (Orbitool) IMTS 2024 Booth Visit

Designed for cross holes in both manual and CNC applications, Orbitool deburring tools from J.W. Done feature a flexible shank and protective disc, allowing for selective material removal at intersecting edges. J.W. Done General Manager Stanley Kroll demonstrates how Orbitool is shown to effectively deburr complex contours and surfaces, particularly for brass parts. Custom tools also are available.

Second Generation of MAX System

Today’s MAX System introduces the latest innovation known as Focused Deburring. These multi-axis machines feature up to four 1- to 5-axis heads or towers, which can process simultaneously or in sequence within a single working environment. This ability allows the machines to perform multiple operations on many edges and surfaces of a part at the same time. For example, a single MAX System can remove a protruding burr from an 8” spur gear, create a precision .060” chamfer on both sides of the same gear, and wash the part within 30 seconds.

Pneumatic Hand Chamfering Tool

For proper material preparation The KBC Pneumatic Hand Chamfering Tool allows you to remove burrs easily and quickly to create a uniform edge with repeatable accuracy up to almost 1mm depth, prepare metal for welding jobs and clean them up after, and a host of other needs in the machine shop or on site.  The bearing runs along the edge of the surface while two carbide inserts chamfer the edge for smooth results.  (Replacement standard triangular tip carbide inserts, TCMT-09T3, are available.)
