MSC Industrial Supply Co., Melville, N.Y., a distributor of metalworking and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products and services, is expanding its portfolio of metalworking products from Accupro, Davidson, N.C. The new line adds more than 3,000 new precision-engineered metalworking tools to the existing 20,000 Accupro products MSC currently offers.
"We have experienced increasing demand for tools with micromanufacturing applications that are extremely durable and heat-resistant," said Brian McGrath, MSC senior product manager. "This demand is especially clear among our manufacturing customers in the electronics, medical, aerospace and moldmaking industries. We are excited to deliver an enhanced suite of products that are designed specifically to help address our customers' needs."
MSC's existing Accupro product offerings include standard-sized endmills and drills engineered for optimal productivity in specific materials and applications. The new range of Accupro end mills and drills can be used on hard-to-machine work piece materials such as stainless steels, hardened steels, aluminum and composites.
In addition, MSC is enhancing its collection of Accupro tolls with coolant through features and dual-contact toolholders made for high-torque machining applications. The new Accupro toolholders extend the life of the tools and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the machine tool spindle, according to MSC.
