Model eX-S Laser Machine

April 01, 2014

Mitsubishi Laser debuts its latest laser innovation in its model eX-S, available from MC Machinery Systems Inc. Designed to augment the eX line as a more accessible, entry-level version of the existing 2D eX machine, which has been the most productive and efficient 2D laser machine yet, the new eX-S features a 2700 Watt resonator.

This lower wattage will deftly cut steel thicknesses up to and over 0.75", but considering the cost savings involved with a smaller resonator, operators may be able to add valuable automation to maximize output and optimize the cutting process. For instance, they purchase an eX-S with this automation for roughly the same cost as a traditional 6000 Watt eX standalone.

Replacing former LVP series, eX is the fifth generation in a line of powerful 2D Mitsubishi Lasers. These machines delivers low running costs and eco-friendly features for power and gas consumption, and stable operation for greater productivity.

"The new lower wattage model eX lowers the price point enough to bring the line of product offerings into new, entry level markets," says Bill Isaac, VP of Mitsubishi Laser. "Between the two machines, the eX line is now comprehensive in terms of operator needs and capabilities."

Features of the eX-S model include an improved gas change time of 60 percent over previous models (only about 10 minutes from startup), helical rack and pinion to reduce noise, built in jet pierce with the ability to aggressively pierce mild steel, a new Mitsubishi control with faster graphical interface and expanded programming options, plus and ECO mode for increased cost savings.
