Sugino portable drilling units

March 01, 2010

Sugino Corp.'s Pneucon Selfeeder portable pneumatic drilling units are for streamlining drilling applications on large wing and fuselage assemblies. The units provide a TIR of less than 0.0006" and provide 0.0008" repeatability on depths. The rapid approach of the drill is slowed when the primary control feed rate regulator is engaged prior to entering the part. As the drill approaches its preset depth, the secondary control feed regulator further slows the drill to virtually eliminate burrs on breakthrough, according to the company. The units operate with positive air pressure in forward and reverse.
