Featuring a totally enclosed fan-cooled design in a cast iron frame, this proven design is suitable for indoor or outdoor installation in some of the most demanding environments and applications.  Rated as a 75 hp, 460 v, 1800 rpm electric motor, this innovative design delivers 95.0% efficiency at rated load with a near-unity power factor.  The NEMA 445T frame motor weighs about 1,920 pounds and draws just 170 amps at full load.

Greenerd will present unique hydraulic press application solutions at IMTS this year, including discussing an automated 30-Ton Gantry style hydraulic press which was built for an application requiring precise positioning of pins. A linear transducer mounted in the press cylinder enables a minimum depth to be programmed into the control to ensure proper pin depth has been achieved. The 25' long hydraulic press features automated gantry positioning with optical recognition of the distance between each set of pins to be inserted. The cycle can be initiated in autonomous operation where the gantry moves to each pin location and applies the set of tonnage on the pins. 

With the goal of breathing new life into old CNC mills, or turning your mill into a CNC as a cost-effective alternative, SERVO Products Company (Eastlake, OH), a progressive designer and manufacturer of a broad line of manual knee-type milling machine tools and accessories since 1964, recently introduced their Orion CNC Retrofit package for knee mills and lathes. The CNC Retrofit kits; 1000 M (Milling) and 1000 T (Turning), provide quality upgrades while saving the customer money over purchasing a new machining center.

This 32mm capacity machine (with the capability to increase to 38mm) has a new design that helps improve productivity and operating convenience.  The standard 12 cutting axes includes a B axis for angular drilling and contour milling.  In addition, the 10 station turret with half index capability provides 20 positions. 

With the new SonoPower 3S megasound system with frequencies of 500 and 1,000 kHz, Weber Ultrasonics has developed an efficient solution for cleaning sensitive components. It ensures especially gentle and yet effective handling of the components with high levels of cleanliness. The system consists of the intelligent SonoPower 3S Megasonic Boost and the matching SonoPlate HF high-frequency transducers. 

Another important feature in the latest release of the software is the New Part centering/probing function, which generates pointset nodes for any inspection machine or direct CNC part inspection on a milling machine. Additionally, a new Probe Inspect command creates and exports control points in the CAM project to feed a probing system. There are also specific improvements to part centering tailored for CNC machines with table palletization. 

The e-spool flex increases safety at manual workstations and operating panels. For quick installation of the cable reel, the developers opted for a worm guide. The cable is inserted in a few simple steps, and the e-spool is ready for use.

The SIGC series has been expanded to include Kyocera’s unique “Excellent Bar” steel shank and carbide shank toolholder styles. Kyocera is also offering the SIGC in left-handed toolholder and insert styles to cover a wider variety of internal grooving applications. 

the GT-610 EZ has the ability to produce G-ratios that can exceed those of machines twice its size. When running super abrasives, a variable frequency drive on the work wheel spindle is available to increase wheel surface feet.

To cover the breadth of applications within the MRO segment, there are drills for general purpose machine and portable drilling. These include the popular HSS R10 series for right hand drilling and HSS L10 series for left hand drilling. Also included are the carbide DC series of center drills. There is a specific selection for sheet metal drilling and spot weld drilling. 

The RFP projects a fringe pattern onto the part surface and the probe’s camera captures the variation in fringe pattern to build a point cloud of 3D surface data. The data cloud is then evaluated by the 3D metrology software to deliver the inspection results. Ceramic cartridge rolls feature self-sharpening grains which continually produce fresh cutting points which easily cut through stainless and alloys.  Self-sharpening grains also reduce friction and prolong cut rates.  Additional grinding aid further reduces heat for extended wear and reduced downtime.  Multiple layers wear away to expose fresh abrasive material, further extending service life.

The HS flex heavy handling system is designed to be adaptable to five-axis PERFORMANCE-LINE machining centers (C 400 and C 650) as well as the HIGH-PERFORMANCE-LINE models (C 32 and C 42). This also marks the first time that the C 650 is available with automation capabilities.
