Cutting with particle beams: Drilling Performance
A new "particle beam" technology for machining carbon-based and ceramic matrix composites.
Tiger 2.0 Cutting, Grinding and Combination Wheels
The INOX 2.0 wheels are designed for high performance when cutting and grinding high-value stainless steel parts. Premium aluminum oxide grains provide a smooth cut rate and consistent performance. Both Tiger Ceramic and Tiger INOX wheels are contaminant-free, so they are safe to use on high-value stainless steel parts.
Tiger Ceramic 2.0 and Tiger INOX 2.0
The expanded Tiger 2.0 lineup, includes the Tiger Ceramic 2.0 and Tiger INOX 2.0 portfolio of cutting, grinding and combination wheels. Tiger Ceramic 2.0 cutting, grinding and combo wheels offer a superior combination of life and cut rate for maximum productivity.
FH5000 Horizontal Machining Centers
Toyoda's FH5000S HMCs with 60-tool ATC capacity are designed for speed and production reliability, featuring a 15,000 RPM, 50 HP (37 kW), 303 Nm (223 ft-lbs.) high acceleration spindle. The 40-taper spindle is designed with four ceramic bearings at the front of the spindle for increased rigidity and reduced vibration.
SIGMA LS Laser Micromachining Subsystem
SIGMA LS offers processing solutions for a broad range of femtosecond laser micromachining applications requiring optimal quality, minimal thermal effects, and high stability and dimensional accuracy, including hole drilling in stainless steel cannula; selective polymer ablation on metal; hole drilling in ceramic microfluidics; and texturing metals, polymers, ceramics.
KYHK15B Ceramic Turning Grade
KYHK15B provides excellent edge stability, high chipping resistance, and a PVD gold coating makes wear progression identification very easy. From smooth and varying depths of cut to heavy depths of cut, KYHK15B can be an economic alternative to PcBN inserts.
Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Transducers
Piezoelectric materials convert electrical energy into mechanical energy and vice versa; the so-called inverse piezo effect is harnessed for the generation of oscillation and precision motion. For ultrasonic applications that require high bandwidth, hemispheres and hollow spheres are currently available with an outside diameter range from 2 – 100mm with wall thickness as small as 0.2mm.
Piezo Actuators
Cost optimized for large quantities, the lightweight P-604 amplified piezo fixture actuator provides a large travel of 300µm in a small footprint of 13x20mm, engineered for a long maintenance-free life. Zero-play flexure guides deliver frictionless and ultra-straight motion.
MultiShape Ceramic Media
This media has a patented shape without any flat, parallel surface areas. On the one hand this unique design prevents media lodging in the work pieces, which can occur particularly in case of complex work pieces. Such lodged media can severely affect the finishing process and must frequently be removed by hand.
3D-EdgeMaster
The 3D-EdgeMaster is shock and splash proof in accordance with IP 67 regulations, and the mechanism is protected by a predetermined breaking point in the ceramic probe insert. The 3D edge finder provides fast and precise probing of reference edges, setting of the zero point and measuring with repeat accuracy of ≤ 0.01 mm.
Grade WCH10C Ceramic Inserts
WCH10C inserts deliver high repeat accuracy due to its sintering process and are tough and wear resistant due to the strong connection to their titanium carbide substrate. Optimum surface quality is promoted as well by their uniform grain distribution in the substrate, The new Walter coated mixed ceramic grade WCH10C inserts can be used effectively on materials ranging in hardness from 45 up to 60 HRC.
CeraSFeed
CeraSFeed features two unique double-sided indexable insert styles: LNXF09 and TNXN12. LNXF09 offers a 1.5mm depth of cut and 4 cutting edges. TNXN12 offers a 2.5mm depth of cut and 6 cutting edges. Both inserts are offered in grade IN76N, a highly engineered SiAlON ceramic grade having excellent high temperature thermal shock resistance, excellent toughness, and optimal thermal conductivity. n
