Milling Machines

ELEMENT Platform

When designing the new ELEMENT the developers did not just increase the performance of the machine but also went a step further: not only did they use the extensive engineering resources and experience of Messer Cutting Systems, to profit from their many years of successful machine development but also looked forwards to incorporate the latest technologies available now and predict future trends.

Mastercam Mill

Maintaining climb and conventional machining is crucial for surface finish and tool life. Controlling Climb and Conventional Cutting for Morph, Parallel, Unified, Project Curve, and Flow toolpaths now provide constant control of climb or conventional cutting even while in complex areas that would require use of both sides of the tool.

BA space3

With an installation of footprint of 25.3m2, the machine is the largest in SW’s repertoire. It features a working rage of 3,000 x 1,800 x 875 mm on the X-, Y- and Z-axes respectively. On each of these axes, the HSK 63 spindle is able to reach a rapid traverse of 120 m/min, with a chip to chip time of 4-4.25s (depending on which optional features a customer selects). So not only is the machine capable of machining large structural components made of light metal material such as battery housings and car chassis bodies that are in such high demand in the industry – but it does so at speeds much faster than anything offered by the competition.

VFD & VFD Plus Kits

Made in the USA, both VFD kits are also suited for smaller garage/machine shops, mills, lathes, and grinders.  Adaptable to most applications, the VFD kits can run the motor on 220V single-phase incoming power vs. requiring three-phase power – eliminating the need for a phase converter convenient package, it can go up to 5,000 RPMs in high gear–10-15% higher than the standard milling machine could do. Unlike early VFD kits, these provide full-torque at the lowest RPM.

Desktop CNC Milling Machine

The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine is fast, easy to set up, and omes with software that allows for predictable outcomes, including automatic material location, effectively bringing aluminum prototyping to an accessible and affordable level that has not been seen in this category. Bantam Tools Milling Machine Software also supports a simple drag-and-drop integration with SVG files for 2.5D designs.
