The FZU22 boasts a substantial working range, from 71”-98” in the X-axis, 118”-138” in the Y-axis and 49” in the Z-axis.  A feed rate of 2756 ipm in the X- and Y-axes is standard while the acceleration on the machine is max. 118-197 in/sec2.  With a compact footprint of 11’ x 15’, the machine fits in the corner of any shop.  ISO 230-2 accuracy is provided.  A choice of milling heads is offered on the machine to suit a variety of applications.

EMG SORM is a state-of-the-art measuring system based on the confocal chromatic principle and is suitable for both online roughness and online waviness measurement of surfaces. The jaws of the exceptional Bench Vise swivel 360° on the base and can lock in any position. Its unique shaped body houses the straight-line pull, super strong power tunnel that assures that the spindle and nut will never wear out. Made from 65,000 PSI ductile iron, the vise is 50% stronger than all gray iron vises and 20% stronger than competitive ductile iron vises.

The 30-tool magazine provides flexibility for milling and drilling applications. The machine accommodates BT-40 shanks and includes a precision cam drive that achieves ±0.08-mm (0.0032") positioning accuracy. The tool change arm is waterproof, preventing coolant from entering the arm during use. Users also have the option of adding a pallet changer to avoid the downtime associated with part loading and unloading.

Thomson miniature metric ball screws accomplish this with a unique multi-liner return system that maximizes the number of circuits and loaded balls in the nut. A miniature metric system with a multi-liner return system, for example, deploys 168 balls in eight circuits to support 7.6 kN of static load, as compared to a single-liner design, which would use 84 balls in four circuits to support only 4.2 kN. Maximizing the number of balls within a single nut also extends the life of the system by spreading the load across multiple points.
