The KONTEC KSC mini is the vise of choice for flexible use in efficient blank and finish part machining. Conversion on a larger clamping range is even possible without requiring additional accessories. Different jaw widths of 45 and 70 mm can be used on the same basic vise, allowing optimal adjustment to different clamping tasks.

A member of the Walk-A-Sured® Water Clear Epoxy System, this eco-friendly, two-component epoxy system meets OSHA and ADA standards, and ASTM slip-resistance requirements.  It contains 100% solids, with no solvents or VOCs, ensuring compatibility with previously installed coatings.  Water, solvent and chemical resistant Walk-A-Sured® Water Clear HEAVYDUTY 20 contains polymer grit which gives the coating long-lasting added traction.   It is ideal for use on industrial floors by machining centers and other oil-prone areas, in auto service stations where oil and grease are common, in ski resorts where floors are normally wet, and other manufacturing/industrial/commercial environments. 

The P6006 insert can perform up to 10 x Dc without the need for a pilot drill. It features a protective chamfer on the insert with HIPIMS-PVD coating, and the wear resistant WPP25 grade which leads to maximum tool life in stable conditions. Further, the insert has a 100° prism for the contact point in the body, and a 140° point angle with new geometry and thinner web. Optimum wear detection is provided by its light-colored yellow coating.

The high-performance saw is ideal for multiple jobs with low volume production requirements plus it offers the best cost per cut solution. The massive saw head design features extra-large cast iron wheels that deliver precise, extremely accurate straight and miter cuts.

CoroPlus® Connected is used alongside the existing Silent Tools™ Plus, a digitally connected damped boring bar from Sandvik Coromant. Having been awarded first place in the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) Production Innovation contest in 2018, Silent Tools™ Plus helps customers by providing visibility at the cutting zone in internal turning applications with long overhang.

The new Optoquick is well-suited for measuring transmission shafts where spline and gear features, such as OBR, ODB, pitch run-out, etc., need to be measured together with traditional measurement of the solid bearing portions. It combines a touch measuring sensor with non-contact optical scanning to provide rapid and accurate measurements while the part is rotating. Design to operate on the shop floor next to the machine, it helps speed up the work-in-progress operations and eliminates time wasted in moving parts across the shop floor.

The M20 MILLTURN has a one piece, straight-lined appearance, with a modern, functional design. The continuous front made from hardened glass features an integrated display of performance data as well a sliding window to the tool magazine. The machine's fresh appearance is further supported by its new colouring. Optimum ergonomics as well as convenient, user-friendly operation round off the unique design.

The GROB Systems G350 Universal Machining Center delivers high productivity, optimum availability, and excellent maintenance access. What’s more, it features a unique machine concept; three linear and two rotary axes permit 5-axis simultaneous machining and simultaneous interpolation. The machine's unique axis arrangement permits upside down machining, offering almost limitless possibilities for part machining. Meanwhile, the horizontal spindle position permits the longest possible Z-travel path and optimum chip fall.

The HiPACS drilling and countersinking system can be utilized on all machines typically used for aerospace applications. In less stable conditions such as robot end effectors, the diamond coated carbide drills offer excellent tool life and hole quality. PCD-tipped drills, on the other hand, excel in stable conditions such as gantry machines. 

ILME has several types of MIXO RJ45 adapters to meet the needs of industrial data transmission. The new MIXO RJ45 adapter (CX-01-J8UM) module is designed to accommodate a variety of RJ45 patch cords and drastically reduce the assembly time at the manufacturing site. The new RJ45 adapter is for fitted any RJ45 cord plugs with the maximum dimension, 34 mm (L) x 13.5 mm (W) x 9.5 mm (H). End users can simply place the patch cord into the adapter and secure it by the insulating latch: Click and Fix.

With 3D printing, there is about a 30% reduction in tool weight, yet it has the equivalent torsional stiffness of a steel ground body tool. Lightweighting can play a big role in large, heavy tools that take a toll on the machine spindle, helping to reduce preventative maintenance. These improvements can be significant when producing aerospace and automotive components, including electric vehicle parts, where existing spindle interfaces are not always ideal for some of the size/weight of tools.

The tribo plain bearings made of high-strength filament fabric are used where very high loads occur. The extremely strong filament in its specially interwoven design ensures maximum resistance and enables a maximum permissible compressive strength of 400 MPa. The newly developed material was extensively tested on the indoor and outdoor test rigs in the 3,800 square-meter igus test laboratory. 

As more shops seek the benefits of a single setup, multiaxis cutting strategy, Mastercam 2022 adds new techniques and strategies such as the Unified Multiaxis toolpath which allows you to select multiple pieces of input geometry to generate the toolpath pattern. Using those geometry choices, the toolpath picks the best algorithm to calculate the path. Multi-pass on Deburr toolpaths supports flat chamfered and rounded edges which gives the user added flexibility, allowing the Deburr toolpath to create a quality surface finish on larger chamfered or radiused edges.

EcoShrink takes both the beginning and the end of the shrink wrap product life cycle into account. EcoShrink is sourced from certified commercially compostable resins and contains 45% biopolymers. After use, EcoShrink can be disposed of in a commercial composting environment to reduce the amount of plastic packaging that normally ends up in a landfill.* EcoShrink is shelf and curb stable and will retain its integrity until disposed of properly.

An electric actuator, the Type KR-RL offers several advantages over pneumatic types. “Where a pneumatic gripper simply provides an open and close function, the Type KR-RL offers precise force control,” stated Kinoshita. Gripping force can be regulated according to the fragility of the object being transferred. Speed control, a longer life through the incorporation of heat-treated steel, and energy savings are additional benefits.

The diamond coating portfolio covers the entire spectrum of demanding machining applications and is divided into two groups of different base materials. The first contains coatings for machining highly abrasive compacted and sintered powders like graphite for moulds and dies, as well as ceramics for dental applications. For these applications, the BALDIA COMPACT and BALDIA COMPACT DC coatings produce the best possible machining performance. The second group of base materials are fibre-reinforced plastics, stack materials and highly abrasive aluminium alloys used in the aerospace and automotive industries. For this group, BALDIA NANO and BALDIA COMPOSITE DC are the right choice. In both groups the ending “DC” stands for maximum coating quality with consistently high tool performance and the tightest possible tolerances for tool diameter and coating thickness.

The patented spindle technology ensures continuous high precision. By its design, the cutting tool shank serves as the spindle shaft. As the result, the dynamic run-out is 4 microns or better. Bearings can easily be replaced by the customer with each cutting tool change. The CoolSpeed® spindle does not require any service.

Sandvik Coromant’s new turning grades are optimized with these machining challenges in mind. The introduction assortment of the S205 includes 36 items, with more to be added in spring of 2021. The Ceramic CC6165 grade is also available in a range of assortments to meet the demands of varied industries and materials.

The identification label, which is pre-marked by InfoSight, is a transparent Gorilla Glass disk.  InfoSight recommends countersinking the label into a shallow machined pocket so the surface of the component remains level.  After severe abrasion, wiping the label with a liquid which matches the glass index of refraction restores its clarity.  

The CNC video measurement system "NEXIV" can automatically measure the dimensions of component features using Nikon's world renowned optical and image processing technology. By analyzing the captured image of a component, detecting feature edges at high speed, both accurately and with repeatably, it is possible to quickly measure components with simple and complex features.
