Automated Guided Vehicle Systems (AGVs)
Via the sensor infrastructure and intelligent, as well as integrated and manufacturer-independent communication, the traffic and order management software NAiSE Traffic analyses the flow of traffic and goods in intralogistics applications, in real-time. The software coordinates and controls traffic involving all parties – humans and industrial trucks such as AGV systems or forklifts.
Target-Net
The measurement targets are distributed uniformly at intervals of approx. 100 millimetres across the entire Target-Net. The Target-Net itself measures 1500 x 2500 millimetres and has in total approx. 300 measurement targets. Thanks to the high measurement target density, several scans can be performed very quickly from different perspectives.
DR Reaming System
As with other tool systems, high-performance reaming systems are also subject to demanding requirements. In addition to high process reliability, long tool life and low tool costs, modern reaming tools must fulfil further criteria. These include, among other things, the modularity of the tools.
S224 Type Indexable Insert
Horn has revised the clamping of the S224 type indexable insert for use in Swiss-type lathes. In order not to have to remove the holder for indexing or changing the insert, the Horn engineers relocated the clamping screw to the side. Clamping now takes place via a camshaft.
M911, M913 and M928 Nine-Edged Milling Systems
The nine-edged milling systems M911, M913 and M928 are stocked in cutting widths from 1.5 mm (0.059") to 3 mm (0.118") as standard. The maximum milling depth is 3.5 mm (0.138") (M911), 4.5 mm (0.177") (M913) and 6.5 mm (0.256") (M928).
Star Cutter expands its PCD tool reconditioning services
Star Cutter has added a Lasertec precision laser cutting machine to its portfolio of machining equipment at its Tool Reconditioning Center.
Repair specialist expands services with multi-axis calibrators
To become the go-to calibration service provider to customers, KES Machine LLC expanded its relationship with global engineering technologies company Renishaw. The investment in Renishaw's XM-60 and XM-600 multi-axis calibrators enhanced KES' services, allowing it to quickly obtain accurate data and provide high-quality calibration and probing services.
New Walter T2711 & T2712 thread milling cutters
With the new versions of the T2711 and T2712 thread milling cutters, Walter offers an indexable insert solution for small blind-hole and through-hole threads (≤ 2.5 × DN) in dimensions of M16, M18 and UNC3/4. It can be used in almost any material.
Mazak names distribution partners in key target markets
Mazak has made strategic changes to its distribution network. Pioneer Machine Sales will serve customers in Arkansas and Oklahoma, while long-time Mazak distributor A.W. Miller Technical Sales, Inc. will expand its territory to serve customers in Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and the Southern half of New Jersey.
VTS SF-45 Compact
The VTS SF-45 acquires a variety of tool dimensions in a single instant using the principle of shadow projection where an illuminated objects projects its shadow onto the camera. These measurements include tool length, static and dynamic tool diameter, the tool run-out and cutting-edge radius.
Tiger·tec Gold WSM35G Milling Grade
The new grade is Walter's response to the upwards trend towards milling steel with difficult machining properties and wear-resistant stainless steel, such as found in applications in the energy and aviation industries. WSM35G meets the most stringent requirement for process reliability, which is highly valued in the automotive sector, and is also suitable for general mechanical engineering applications.
Standard and Lift-Check Die Flipping Hoist Rings
Die flipping hoist rings are available in both inch and metric dimensions as a standard or Lift-Check™ style that features a proprietary hex head bolt with Go / No-Go identification. The rings are CE Certified and constructed of alloy steel with a black oxide body and zinc plated (gold) shackle.
