VTS SF-45 Compact
The VTS SF-45 acquires a variety of tool dimensions in a single instant using the principle of shadow projection where an illuminated objects projects its shadow onto the camera. These measurements include tool length, static and dynamic tool diameter, the tool run-out and cutting-edge radius.
Rush Machinery showcases multiple technologies at trade show
At this year's Eastec trade show, Rush Machinery plans to display the FC-350W wheel truing and dressing machine with new accessories and functionality as well as the Auto-Cut carbide rod cut-off machine.
Mx 9.1 Software
Mx 9.1 software extends Zygo's collaborative metrology software with Asphere+ Analysis functionality, providing a common toolset to explore aspheric surface data obtained using any instrument.
Q-Span Automated Gauging System
Data from all gauges in the Q-Span System – including thread gauges, robotic calipers, LVDT probes, drop gauges, bore gauges, laser micrometers, vision system, 2D telecentric profilers, and more – is combined into one convenient output for statistical process control (SPC). Data from any or all gauges can be used in real time for in-process decision making and process monitoring.
Renishaw displays additive manufacturing innovations at show
Global engineering technologies company Renishaw brings its latest end-to-end solutions for additive manufacturing to RAPID + TCT 2023 in Chicago.
H-Carb Series 77 End Mills
The H-Carb Series 77 end mills specialize in deep axial trochoidal and high-speed machining applications and are offered in various lengths of cut. The specially designed core and flute design improve rigidity and chip flow while reducing deflection. The seven-flute design allows for superior finishes at higher speed and feed rates versus 5 and 6 flute tools.
Metal Cutting Tools and Solutions
The product expansion includes best-in-class features and advanced technology for metal cutting applications.
Factory-Rebuilt Presses
During the rebuild process, AP&T technicians disassemble and thoroughly examine the press. They replace worn parts and outdated systems and components before reassembling the press and performing a test run and safety check. All exchanged parts are covered by AP&T's new-part warranty.
Walter to feature expanded cutting tool line at Eastec
Walter's exhibit will feature a huge expansion to the Prototyp brand Advance and Supreme line of solid-carbide endmills.
Volume Graphics 2023.1 Software
CT-data analysis software for inspection has a quality role in nearly every industry that has critical parts and processes that need monitoring for faults and variations. These include automotive, aerospace and electronics, among others. Volume Graphics' software tracks, analyses, and visualizes porosity/inclusions, delaminations, fiber or grain orientations, deformations and areas of low density and weakness.
GRC-R12 Robot Cell
The cell has a 6-Axis FANUC M-10iD/12 Robot with 4.7' (1,441 mm) reach, capable of handling a maximum load of 26.5 lbs (12 kg). The GRC-R12 features a pneumatic single-or double-gripper system. The drawer feed system can have up to six drawers that can be unloaded and reloaded while the robot cell and machining center are in operation.
Robotics Results: More machines, more robots, more profit
For his Robotics Results column in the April 2023 issue of Cutting Tool Engineering, Fusion | RoboJob-USA President Craig Zoberis writes about the downside of automating two CNC machines with one robot system. The 15th episode in CTE's Robotics Results video series shows an automation setup with a robot system at each CNC machine.
