ISCAR is introducing 17 mm diameter PENTA inserts, designed for machining small size parts with up to 4 mm maximum grooving depth capability. The inserts are available in a range of widths from 0.25 to 3.18 mm, with different edge configurations for parting, grooving, turning and threading.

Neoturn

The NEOTURN XNMG demonstrates excellent chip control and highly stable tool life in a wide range of applications. The NEOTURN system also enables machining complicated workpiece shapes close to the tail stock where space is limited. This can be performed without replacing the holder and decreases setup time substantially.

Westec 2023 Booth Visit with ARCH Cutting Tools

ARCH Cutting Tools highlighted its RECON360 service program at its booth during Westec 2023 in Long Beach, California. Just over a year old, RECON360 offers to:

restore solid round tools and indexable cutting tool bodies to OEM or new condition,
braze new carbide, CBN, PCD or ceramic edges on inserts and round tools,
reapply coating to tools,
regrind worn areas on inserts and solid round cutting tools,
resize inserts or solid round tools.

Iscar continues to revolutionize the machining process with small tools offering big machining solutions. New PICCOINDEX solid carbide tools with indexable inserts for machining miniature parts and increased tool life. Also introducing a new range of mini SWISSGRIP tools for Swiss-Type Machines with .024” to .047” wide inserts for economical parting of Ø.394-Ø.629” bars. CoroMill MR80

The CoroMill MR80 assortment offers cylindrical and arbor cutter bodies, with diameters from 32 to 100 mm, 3 to 12 cutting teeth and even pitch and shim protection. All cutter bodies feature internal coolant supply. The double-sided E-L50 inserts offer true and easy indexing (6 + 6), with a 3 mm recommended depth of cut.

Deep drills with a 3 cutting edged insert (other manufacturers only offer inserts with 1 or 2 cutting edges). Highly accurate peripherally ground insert, provides high hole diameter accuracy of IT10.
The chip splitter produces narrow chips for efficient chip evacuation, enabling high feed rates.

Logiq4Turn

The double-sided CXMG inserts operate similarly to CCMT positive inserts and can therefore replace standard CCMT inserts. In some applications, they can also replace standard negative CNMG inserts.
Double-sided with a positive flank. Low cutting forces. Designed with a chipformer for general turning applications.
